The Nursing Team are employed by East and North Herts NHS Trust and cover four schools in the East and North of Hertfordshire - Lonsdale, Lakeside, Greenside and Amwell View.
There are 6 nurses and a clinical support worker based at Lonsdale, with nurses from the other schools working here on a regular basis.
The NHS Nursing Team are registered children’s nurses, registered general nurses or learning disability nurses with training and experience in caring for children and young people. The school nursing team comprise of both full-time and part-time staff who work a number of different shifts to provide 24 hour nursing care at school.
The nurses attend to the medical needs of the children, provide continuing medical care which is received at home and in the community. The nurses provide this care through close liaison with the community paediatric team and in partnership with the family.
We offer a health interview prior to your child starting at school if required and also provide holistic support and advice.
Our working hours at Lonsdale are 8.30am to 4.00pm.
Our School Consultant Paediatrician is Dr Swaminathan.
